120v vs 240v Fast charging!

Having a LVL2- 240v fast charger in your home is vital for all EV owners. LVL2 charging systems significantly increase charging times so you don't have to worry about whether you can make it to your destination. A standard LVL 1- 120V charger for a Tesla Model Y standard range with a 50 (KWH) battery can take more than 20 Hours to fully charge compared to a home LVL 2- 240v charger, which can fully charge this vehicle in under 5 Hours.

Choosing the right EV CHARGER

Selecting the correct charger for your home and vehicle is vital and depends on several factors, like your type of vehicle, what charging speed and your charger's location. Our team of Electricians has the knowledge and EV charger database to select the best home charger for you and your vehicle.

LVL 2- 240V CHARGING

LVL 2 Fast charging is the fastest way to charge your vehicle from home. These chargers require a dedicated 240v circuit in order to produce the power needed to charge your vehicle. LVL 2 charging has the ability to add more than 70 miles of charge in an hour.

LVL 1- 120V charging

Due to the continuous demand for power that a standard cord and plug 120v charger has on your home outlets, we recommend that if you're going to use one, we install a dedicated GFCI protected receptacle with no other appliances plugged in. Being dedicated ensures your safety, vehicle's longevity and that you dont overload the circuit.

Cost of charging!

The average cost of charging at a commercial charging station is about $0.25/KWH, and it can be much more. A full charge would cost you over $20 compared to charging at home, which costs only $0.14/KWH during peak hours. With an LVL 2- 240v home charger, you can schedule your vehicle to charge at night during low-cost hours, saving you time and money for as little as $0.08/KWH, and for customers with solar or who plan to have solar, you can charge your electric vehicle from home for free!

Keeping you safe!

Our team of electricians ensures that every installation is GFCI protected even on our LVL 2 fast chargers. Having GFCI protection keeps you and your vehicle safe from unwanted electrical hazards. Your protection and safety is the most important part of our installation process.
